ABOUT US:
In 2009 a group of organizations in Greater Victoria found that the large number of environmental education programs and organizations in the Capital Region were resulting in many lost opportunities. Teachers and parents were not aware of what was available. To address this issue, many local environmental education providers collaborated to unify the many diverse programs onto one resource – The Eco Learning Hive.

MISSION:
The mission of the Eco Learning Hive is to support educators within the CRD community communicate, connect and partner to make quality environmental education more meaningful, synergistic and easier to access.

VISION:
Educators work together, synergistically and effectively, with teachers and the public on environmental education (EE), facilitated by a stable, broadly-based Eco Learning Hive.

MANDATE:
The Eco Learning Hive will support school teachers within the CRD to increase environmental awareness and understanding by disseminating information about available environmental programs and resources.
